Something that is your cup of tea means that you're interested in it.

The first thing to notice is we have two versions of the question up here.
Who or what? Can someone simply tell me why we use who and when we use what human right human or a person or some kind of character you can use with non humans if it's like a character

So I want to go over when you use the word interested in something.
So interested is used when you want to express curiosity You're curious about something, you want to know about it or there's some attraction You feel some attraction to something.
So some examples we'll use it for activities.
So I'm interested in playing soccer or I'm interested in soccer.

Notice we need a noun here so we'll use the Jerin form if it's an activity.
But we need some kind of activity or a topic like I'm interested in learning about space.
I'm interested in space I'm interested in science I'm interested in history, something you can learn about a topic or people.
I'm interested in famous athletes.
I'm interested in presidents or maybe attracted.
I'm interested in that cute girl over there.
I want to know more about her.
You can use it for any of these things

but we don't really use it with earlier I said you can't stay interested in meat.
Why is that? Because meat's a very common thing.
So we don't usually say interested when it's something very common.
Nobody is curious about meat.
So we would say interested with physical objects if it's unique or different or there's some reason to be curious about it.
So some examples you can't say interested in meat but you could say I'm interested in gemstones because they're different they're not common.

But we wouldn't just say I'm interested in phones

There are four different ways we can use that.

I'm not interested in spoys.
Next one, that movie is not my cup of tea.

Next one is, it's not for me it just means I'm not interested.

And then I'm not really interested in that I'm not really interested in the Avengers movie I'm not really interested in sports.

So all of these are used for saying that you don't have an interest but maybe somebody else does.
It's kind of a polite way to say I don't like this thing because we want to try and say I don't like it but it's okay.
You like it that's okay You like it I don't like it so it's not for me maybe for you is okay but not for me.
So it's a little polite way to say like that.

Think of one example you're interested in for each of these and then make sentences using the pattern we learned today.
After you make these sentences, we're going to read them and see who has the most unique or different interests in the class.
